Delhi residents may finally get some relief from the ongoing heatwave as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the national capital today.
Weather officials have also warned of strong gusty winds and lightning activity during the afternoon and evening hours.
The expected weather change could help bring temperatures down after days of extreme heat conditions in Delhi-NCR.
IMD Issues Alert For Delhi-NCR
According to weather forecasts, parts of Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and nearby regions may witness light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.
The IMD has advised residents to remain cautious during strong winds and avoid standing under trees or near electric poles during lightning activity.
