The Parliament Monsoon Session 2026 began amid high political drama on Monday. Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned after repeated disruptions inside the two Houses.

Members of the Opposition raised slogans and demanded discussions on several national issues. At the same time, the CJP protest outside Parliament added to the political tension in the national capital.

Opposition Demands Discussion

Opposition parties sought an immediate debate on the ongoing CJP protest and other matters of public importance. They also pressed the government to respond to concerns raised during the protest.

As the protests continued, frequent interruptions affected normal proceedings. The repeated disruptions forced both Houses to adjourn for the day.

Delhi Police deployed additional security personnel around Parliament and nearby areas. Barricades were placed at several entry points to control the movement of protesters.

Traffic restrictions remained in force across parts of central Delhi. Commuters were advised to avoid routes near Parliament because of security arrangements.

Government and Opposition Trade Charges

The government appealed to all political parties to allow Parliament to function normally. Ministers said important legislative business should not be delayed because of repeated disruptions.

Meanwhile, Opposition leaders accused the government of avoiding discussion on major public issues. They demanded a detailed statement in Parliament before normal business resumed.

More Political Action Expected

Leaders from both sides are expected to continue consultations before the next sitting of Parliament. Further protests and demonstrations are also likely in the coming days.
