Representatives of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) met Union Minister J.P. Nadda on Monday and submitted a written letter outlining their demands. The meeting took place amid the party’s ongoing protest near Parliament in New Delhi.
The CJP leaders meet JP Nadda development came after the Centre reached out for talks. Party spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka represented the organisation during the meeting.
Letter Lists Three Key Demands
According to CJP leaders, the memorandum included three major demands. These were the immediate release of Sonam Wangchuk, the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and ₹1 crore compensation for the families of NEET aspirants who died by suicide.
After the meeting, the leaders said Nadda accepted the letter. They added that he requested time to hold internal consultations before responding to the demands.

Government Opens Door for Dialogue
The meeting followed several hours of discussions between police officials and CJP representatives. Earlier, the group had insisted on meeting a Cabinet minister instead of lower-ranking officials.
Meanwhile, thousands of protesters gathered near Parliament despite heavy security. Police imposed restrictions in several areas to prevent the march from reaching the Parliament complex.
No Immediate Decision Announced
CJP leaders said no final commitment was made during the meeting. However, they described the discussion as the beginning of a possible dialogue with the government.
The government has not issued a detailed statement on the demands submitted by the delegation. Further discussions are expected in the coming days.
