Hockey India has announced the Indian U18 men’s and women’s teams for the upcoming series against Australia in Bhopal.
The four-match series will be played between May 15 and May 20 at the SAI Centre in Bhopal. The matches are part of India’s preparation for the U18 Asia Cup scheduled later this month in Japan.
Both teams recently completed a national coaching camp where selectors reviewed performances before finalising the squads.

Captains Named for Both Teams
Ketan Kushwaha will lead the Indian U18 men’s side, while Sweety Kujur has been named captain of the women’s team.
The squads include several young players who performed well during junior national tournaments and training camps.
The Hockey India U18 squads will look to use the Australia series to improve team combinations and match readiness before the Asia Cup.
Important Preparation Before Asia Cup
Officials believe the Australia series will give players valuable international exposure ahead of the continental tournament.
The coaching staff is expected to focus on fitness, defensive structure, and penalty corner execution during the matches.
Former India captain Rani is working closely with the women’s team, while former midfielder Sardar Singh is involved with the men’s squad preparations.
