Chandigarh: The dispute involving ‘Muskaan Jewellers’ in Mauli village has surfaced once again. People who had deposited their gold and silver jewellery at the shop have now approached the SP office, demanding justice from the authorities.
According to the victims, they have been making repeated visits for the past month in an attempt to recover their jewellery. Many claimed they are exhausted after running from one office to another without any resolution.
The affected families also reached the Manimajra police station to meet the DSP regarding the matter. However, the DSP was not present at the time. They were later given an appointment for 12 PM the next day.
Victims said the jewellery was purchased through years of hard work and savings. They alleged that despite several requests, they have still not received their belongings back.
All affected people are now demanding immediate action and the return of the gold and silver jewellery still lying at the shop.
During the protest, the Lekhpal also extended support to the victims. He assured them that he would continue to stand with them until they receive justice and their jewellery is returned.
The victims are now hoping for swift action from the administration and police authorities in the matter.
