According to officials, the email claimed that explosives had been planted inside the Vidhan Bhavan complex.
After receiving the message, security personnel quickly informed Mumbai Police and activated emergency response protocols. Soon after, police teams reached the location and tightened security across the assembly premises.
Authorities also restricted entry to the building while security teams checked the entire complex.

A Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), dog squads, and forensic teams carried out a detailed search operation inside the building.
Security officials checked offices, corridors, parking zones, and nearby areas for suspicious objects or explosive devices. In addition, teams reviewed CCTV footage from different parts of the complex.
Authorities also used specialised scanning equipment during multiple rounds of inspection.

Security officials asked legislators, government staff, and other people inside the building to remain alert during the checks. Meanwhile, police increased deployment around the assembly complex to maintain security.
